I’m a rocker, I’m a roller too baby.
Absolutely! He was a very intimidating character and no doubt used that fear to silence any accusations. He was a spokesperson for the NUT so carried considerable clout. Just like in Jimmy Savile’s case, people would have known or at least had an idea what was going on but feared speaking out.

He taught me in the early 80s. He was a nasty narcissistic bully back then. He must have become emboldened over many years by his control of kids and the fear he instilled in those around him eventually indulging in his sick perversions.

Well given the UK accounts for so many of the totals, and new parkruns popping up regularly - three coming up near me, Rhos on Sea, Rhyl and Flint, I’ll fully expect the records to be shattered in April.

Great to see more and more people hopping on board the parkrun train, a true force for good.

Ha ha, that final descent is legendary, essentially it’s a fell race descent steep and slippery. Well done, tough day for it.

How strange, just as the weather gets cooler wetter and windier in Britain. Numbers at my local parkrun were down considerably last Saturday but there were running events happening locally. Bank holidays in April and August are traditionally the busiest. Global participation must be increasing.

Starling. It’s the time of year for murmurations. Lovely bird.

If Labour voters, in a historically secure Labour stronghold, wanted to keep Reform out, they would have voted Labour. They didn’t because they’re desperate for change. So much for Eluned Morgan’s Liz Trussesque power speech… “Bring it on“ indeed!

Not strictly true, many would have voted Plaid as so many have become disillusioned by a Labour Government in Westminster ever creeping further right, and an ineffective Labour Government in Wales who have been in power for 25 years.

Phenomenal “Saturday” night at the Tiv last night, up there with best shows to have ever graced this sleazy old venue, BOOM!!

Looking forward to catching you at the legendary Tiv tomorrow night, a sell out sweaty throng awaits you🤘

Hmmm, possibly. Grunge was certainly partly a reaction to the ridiculous pomp of what hair metal had become, at least in attitude and style. When 40 year old blues rock legends started emptying several cans of hairspray into their barnets (David Coverdale anyone?) the end was always in sight.

And then along came grunge and showed hair metal up for its sheer ridiculousness.

If it was the other way round, the IDF would have promptly turned up and executed dozens of Palestinians.

Terrible headline by the BBC. Is it fear of condemning Israel or sympathy towards their violent aims that’s behind it though?

She claims it was an unprecedented move to ban away fans from attending a match when there are loads of examples of such measures being taken for safety reasons. Undermining the WM police who have clearly considered carefully considered the situation. Shameful politics.

It's unclear if one set of fans over the other was responsible for their derby being cancelled, but to say that WM Police have absolutely no legitimate cause for concern isn't a hill I'd want to die on.
