Hmmm, possibly. Grunge was certainly partly a reaction to the ridiculous pomp of what hair metal had become, at least in attitude and style. When 40 year old blues rock legends started emptying several cans of hairspray into their barnets (David Coverdale anyone?) the end was always in sight.
And then along came grunge and showed hair metal up for its sheer ridiculousness.

They are trying to normalize cruelty and violence. We cannot allow it.
If it was the other way round, the IDF would have promptly turned up and executed dozens of Palestinians.

Terrible headline by the BBC. Is it fear of condemning Israel or sympathy towards their violent aims that’s behind it though?
She claims it was an unprecedented move to ban away fans from attending a match when there are loads of examples of such measures being taken for safety reasons. Undermining the WM police who have clearly considered carefully considered the situation. Shameful politics.

It's unclear if one set of fans over the other was responsible for their derby being cancelled, but to say that WM Police have absolutely no legitimate cause for concern isn't a hill I'd want to die on.

Decades after the Heysel and Hillsborough disasters, can politicians please not second-guess expert safety assessments for football stadiums.

Thank you.

Lisa Nandy: "He's right to say that it is unprecedented in recent times that an entire group of away supporters have been entirely banned from a game"

Unprecedented in recent times? In 2023 Legia Warsaw fans were banned from a game at Villa Park.
Indeed, a nasty politician. Her comments resonated with supporters of Welsh independence too, demonising the Catalan people, who whilst peacefully campaigning for independence, were brutally assaulted by the authorities. No surprise that she’s still twisting the truth to serve her own narrative.

Arresting pacifists and those calling out for an end to the slaughter, shameful.

Immigration isn’t devolved.

Voting Reform at the Senedd Election because of small boats would be foolish.

Devolution means that some issues are in Welsh Government control. You should look at those issues, check manifestos, and decide who’d best serve Wales’ interests.

Spoiler: it’s not Reform.

When poets, pacifists and peaceful protesters are arrested while the far- right exercise their “freedom of speech” with Nazi salutes and hate slogans…
Alice Oswald arrested this afternoon for supporting Palestine Action.
Noticed that ITV news have dropped the ‘Hamas run’ when mentioning the Gaza Health Authority when reporting on the number of deaths & atrocities committed by the IDF but the BBC persists. Clearly a means to discredit and cast doubt on the source. Shameful by the BBC with war crimes being committed.

The documentary that the BBC refused to air showing the targeting, detainment and torture of medics in Gaza by Israeli authorities was broadcast by Channel 4 last night.

Amnesty International researcher, Budour Hassan, explains the use of secret sites by the Israeli authorities.

BBC news headlines right now.
It's utterly depressing.
They should report about what the IDF have done, not what they say they’ve done. Blatant biased journalism by the BBC, complicit. Well done the Metro.

And on it goes. Israeli politicians using UK media to stoke up outrage around Bob Vylan & Kneecap must be laughing their heads off at how easy it all is. I think this brings the Palestinian death toll *since the Glastonbury performance* in to triple figures.
