What I find interesting about this case is that these people have even heard about Plato. Not sure this is the case for ambitious fascists over here in Europe.

The real question the picture is asking me is this: how much actual transportation service can you get out of these expensive and space- and energy-craving heaps of steel, plastic, lithium and glass, as compared to a decent walkable city structure along with reasonable public transport?

I agree of course - but I also notice that there exist quite closed circles of citation, in climate science and elsewhere. As soon as you go a little broader in interdisciplinarity, things are a lot less simple. And sometimes we don't cite because not all papers really bring important new findings.
