So, a new interview with the Clair Obscure / Expedition 33 developers came out
And there was a very pointed question with a clear cut answer on the genAI stuff- this is so much more reassuring!!!?
Basically it was due to early genAI naivety and they don’t fw it.

Usually my favorite games are older and not as widely recognized but CO:E33 becoming one of my top 3 favorite games, made in the year 2025, is mind blowing to me.

I can't stand when people hate on a game just because it's popular, mainstream, has won awards, etc. At least be an informed hater and play it (or watch a playthrough) before talking shit.

The game reveals were weak this year imo but if it's true how much they have to pay to advertise at this show, I'm not surprised. I was mostly watching for CO:E33 anyway so my hype did not go to waste.

Congrats to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 for winning GOTY and many other awards at TGA! This was the first year I ever voted because I love this game that much.
