#OnOurBookshelf , our latest #Substack publication, is recommending Fairly Equal: Lawyering the Feminist Revolution, by #LindaSilverDranoff.

A fascinating story of #feministrevolution, inspirational #collaboration and #leadership.

Happy reading!

Book cover of "Fairly Equal: Lawyering the Feminist Revolution" by Linda Silver Dranoff. Shows three stick figure women lifting up the left side of the scales of justice from below to tilt it towards equilibrium. On top of the left side of the scale, it says "Fairly" and on the right it says "Equal".

Not my three favourite, but the unjustly ignored:

- May Agnes Fleming, the first Canadian novelist to make a living through her writing;
- Joanna E. Wood, whose The Untempered Wind (1894) is the only novel to make me weep;
- Jan Hilliard, whose Miranda (1960) is the best novel I read last year.
