In Philip K Dick's short story "Faith of our fathers" an illegal anti-hallucinogen allows you to see the country's leader is actually horrifying biomechanical monstrosity & this is a pretty good metaphor for living in Lower Hutt & hearing people fawn over Chris Bishop.

My friend left her phone in an #uber last night. It is ABSURD that you need your phone to organise retrieving the phone you lost. Surely cellphones are the #1 thing left behind? Just absolutely terrible design
