AI doesn't understand childhood or embodiment having never been a child or had a body.

I should try it on Swahili. Newspapers are online and there's a lot of chat on social media (usually hilariously spelled/very colloquial) but not much more than that.

First UG research student meeting of term, some very proactive and some who on the face of it didn't seem that enthusiastic to even come but who have ideas so that's good.
One who didn't understand the difference between correlation and causation though.

Once again, for #blackhistorymonth I'll be highlighting some of the all time greats from the world of sport and performance in a month-long thread.

Trailblazers, record breakers, game-changers. One every day.

Settle in....

Let's start with...

There are Muslims who are Arabic speaking and live in Israel as Israeli citizens.
I posted the other day about the research group I collaborate with: Jews and Muslims, Hebrew and Arabic speaking, all Israeli.

I'm highly aware there are people in Israel who don't think Palestine should exist and vice versa. But it's not Palestine that has both Jews and Muslims able to live peacefully.

My agenda? For people not to pretend that Hamas is a victim, doesn't lie about everything, and isn't a danger to its people. For people to admit they are murderers and stop portraying them as victims.
For people to agree that both Palestine and Israel can exist.
wontsomeonethi2.bsky.social
Israel should exist but with different government. Palestine should exist without a mass will to destroy Israel.

The correct phrase is "The Nazis should be removed from power'. Germany is a country. Your example is perfect actually to show you don't understand the point. East Germany was under a police state due to the destruction of Germany.

You can't pretend that nobody on any march has said anything anti Semitic just like you can't pretend nobody with a British flag has said anything islamophobic.

So why are Palestine Action now a proscribed group?
There are plenty of other examples of people attacking synagogues. Are we now going with "attacks on Muslims are terrorism but attacks on synagogues are lunatics"?

I wasn't an academic then, but I collaborate with academics who were in academic positions (or were PhD students) at that time and if I was asked to work with a South African medical colleague on HIV at that time I would have said yes.
Buying from S. African companies, no.

it was too complicated. And yet students at my Uni are calling for the university to drop all research links with Israeli universities. Quite rightly the management have said no, we believe in academic freedom.

I work with a multi-cultural group at Tel Aviv university and one of the postgrads, who works on Arabic children's language acquisition, was treated hatefully at a US language development conference. My Hebrew speaking colleague didn't go because the last time she travelled to a conference

Is Israel a country set up for Jewish people? YES.
And many UK Jews are dual nationals. So that's not even accurate anyway. Some are even moving there because they feel safer.
Are Israeli Muslims getting shouted at when they go to US conferences for merely being Israeli? Also YES.
wontsomeonethi2.bsky.social
Either it's ok to use a chant that's literally about removing Israel from the map or it isn't.
Either British Jews have been attacked or they haven't.
