We live in interesting times. Perhaps, if you live long enough to read the history books that will be written, you'll recognize the people and events we see today.

Then again, depending on who writes those history books, perhaps you won't.

CANADIAN Version of this series would have been boring. Man gets cancer... Man goes to Dr. because they have universal healthcare. The End.

Caught part of a radio discussion about "super communicators" and I thought I would share a bit here. Good communicators, they said, do three things: they try to ask good questions non-rhetorical questions, they restate the answer in their own words, and then they ask if they got it right.

What if we just made sure everyone had enough healthy food to eat and had access to clean water and healthcare regardless of they could work or not

wouldn't that be cool

My friends, give yourself permission to be happy. Let yourself feel joy, if there is joy to be felt -- even if it doesn't "make sense."

Take some time to wonder at the amazing experience of being alive.

Do these things now. Time runs out faster than you think it possibly could.

thinking about the part in watership down where some rabbits worship a hunter because he feeds them sometimes and the rabbits become domesticated, apathetic and cynical and refuse to talk about those killed by the hunter and become violent when questioned about it

Most distant object known to humanity.
Found by JWST, JADES-GS-z14-0 is the most distant galaxy ever discovered. It's located 13.6 billion light years from us, and since it takes time for light to travel, we see it as it was only 290 million years after the Big Bang.
