I hate this 💔

I was scrolling through the list last night (hardly ever look at it) and the sheer number of those types of patterns “hot right now” made me laugh. Apparently a fun new KAL recently started? 😂

Ours is still up too, but it’s no longer pretty. It’s all dried out and shedding needles and ornaments like crazy. I don’t have the heart to take it all down yet though. Maybe tomorrow. (I don’t turn on the lights anymore due to the fire hazard)

Ooh those colors are gorgeous! A little bit of a Starry Night vibe.

Same. There’s an undercurrent of anxiety that occasionally bubbles to the surface, making it difficult to sleep and always feeling a sense of doom even when I’m not actively thinking about it.

Adorable! It would be fun to make a matching set with the new Cat Knit sweater that’s really popular right now.

Wow! Did you knit the pieces separately and sew them together or knit them together using intarsia (or whatever that color joining technique is called)?

Oh nice! We only get the one big bin, so we have a few extra holding bins in the garage for the stuff that won’t fit in the main one. I wish we could either get an extra bin or weekly pickup.

Right?! I read it and was like “Hey, that’s me!”

Our recycling bin stays full because they only pick up every 2 weeks, and our garage is still overflowing with boxes. 😭

That looks like a really fun project! I haven’t done very much brioche, but I really enjoyed the few brioche projects I’ve tried. It’s so squishy too.

I hope so!

Oh! I didn’t think to check there, but good call. I’ll start looking there next time.

It’s definitely bittersweet when a big project like that comes to an end. Do you have any plans for your next big undertaking yet?

So far I like it over here as much as Threads, but I’m a little disappointed that most of the knitting photos here don’t include the names of the patterns or designers like the ones on IG. I find so many new-to-me patterns and designers that way, so I’d like to see more of that here too.

I’m so excited to see it finished (though probably not as excited as you are lol)
