This sounds like the theological question of whether God can create a rock so heavy he can't lift it.
I don't know whether AI can create AI-proof assignments; I suspect not, and we're going to have to find ways to ensure assignments test understanding rather than plausible summarising.

This is the same guy writing articles shilling for AI, right?

"They held on to their lands in Africa. All that gold and oil. Not like us, we just let it all go.
I went to university in Zambezi" (he continued). "Didn't do any work, of course, it was far too hot.
But I did teach a chimpanzee to smoke."
And then we got to his stop, and off he went.

It's a study in mice. I would love to believe that Alzheimer's can be cured, having lost my mother to it, but this reporting feels irresponsible.

See also "AI does a really good job of writing about this thing I don't know anything about, but is highly inaccurate and misleading when asked about my area of expertise".

Gritty kitchen-sink realism.

Isn't that pretty much the job description?

My brother in law did almost all of the cooking; I just made sausage and chestnut stuffing, and sweet stuff. It was pretty spectacular though, he's an amazing cook!

Pauper's cookbook hot pot; thinly slice potato and onion; layer in an oven proof dish with left over sliced ham, seasoning as you go. Make a bechamel sauce. Add cheese if you like. Pour over, top with cheese, bake low and slow for two hours.

I have a wonderfully hearty, comforting recipe to use up left over baked ham, if that helps?

Hi hálainn!

But that's not the same as asking for her opinion, is it? And she hadn't done the reading anyway; suggesting that there was something wrong with the assignment is a stretch here.

Eep, I've just had one of these! But fortunately the story is from last year so I think I'm ok.

There are very valid reasons to hate Love Actually; the fact that it's happy is surely not one of them.

Gonna need the name of the movie, for research purposes?

She should take it further: charge men to clean other people's houses while also charging those people for cleaning their houses.

My contribution; a ground squirrel in Fuerteventura, enjoying half a grape.

Same for my dad: a series of strokes has damaged his sense of balance, so getting down the aisle of a plane with things to hang on to is ok, but he can't manage the stairs, and walking through the airport with bags is challenging.

I mean isn't that what EndNote is for?
December 18, 2025 at 1:30 PM
Came here to say exactly this!

Oh, how disappointing! I love his writing, and admired him as a person.

I mean they sue Tiktokers for using a few seconds of a song, and now they're opening the door to AI-generated extreme porn featuring Disney characters. This seems an odd decision.
December 11, 2025 at 8:31 PM
This is Disney who bring the full weight of their very expensive legal department on TikTokers who use a few seconds of a Disney song on their cute video? And now they're opening the door to AI-produced porn featuring Disney characters?
