This guy just popped up in our political ads feed, and I'm trying to work out if he's a genAI journalist (one of his "stories" complains about a guy in India gaming algos to make money from credulous Brits, so I'm loving the through-the-looking-glassness of that). www.facebook.com/profile.php?...

Is it not totally mad that Nigel Farage was shooting Cameo videos at 10.39pm last night for 80 quid a pop?

Just found a guy on Facebook who decided his niche was "AI-generated cute baby fruit videos", but clearly decided they weren't doing enough numbers, so now it's "AI-generated political leaders as baby fruit". Unfortunately, they still aren't doing numbers.

I'm not saying it's any good, but here's Mel Stride's defection letter. Now back to my sandwich.

Ultimately, we just have to shut the internet down. There's no workable alternative.

Reform announces this as part of a little flood of Tory > Reform councillor defections, all at the same time. Gotta keep those council seats in May!

Former BBC journalist, PR to the McCanns, ex-Freuds, ex-COI Clarence Mitchell defects from the Tories to Reform. Google spots the difference...

This does have real "explaining, losing" vibes to it, doesn't it?

As a Fulham fan, might be offended at the idea he is "QPR's".

The framing here of "politicians and experts" seems like a good one, because the rest of the article seems to focus on politicians saying some things that are pretty anecdotal and some others that are just untrue. www.politicshome.com/news/article...

If I had a big enough hanky, I'd Margaret Thatcher the hell out of whatever this rebrand is trying to do.

Interesting that it's open, but a bit at the mercy of local election results and leadership. Might want to call it "interim" instead?

The worst person in the world had a good idea (or at least one worth trying), but couldn't stop himself making stuff up for long enough for anyone to trust him.

Noma's dishes of the month start you off with opium so you're less likely to notice that subsequent courses are a leaf, squirrel blood on pine needles and an actual dog turd.

There's one interesting quote that talks about prevalence speculatively, but doesn't provide even a guess about the current figure. I find it so disappointing we can't do better than this, so many years into so many research efforts.

Keen to know whether it was his 37th or 38th Question Time appearance that made him decide this.

Some really good, consistent, "we get you" algorithmic recommendations from Facebook right here.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if every Brit who moved to Dubai (or Saudi) was paid by their government to set up an Instagram account.
