100% help. Once you personally experience just how much time and effort goes into weaving, and you learn just how much can go wrong… your appreciation for it increases tenfold.

Once a bottle of their favorite whiskey is $180 instead of $40. Once their favorite politicians take their guns away. Once they can’t afford diesel for their favorite trucks. Once all of their kids are dying and they can’t afford healthcare for them.

And in some regions, history of a psychiatric hold due to suicidal behavior can bar you from ever legally owning a gun again.

I think a lot of the people who say stuff along the lines of “if you’re not armed you’re not taking this seriously” are really dismissing people like us, for whom gun ownership is unsafe and/or irresponsible.
