Never made so many complimentary cheeseboards in one night. That was complimentary cheeseboard Stalingrad.

Found this today. Having three big gigs occur close to each other we decided to set about the mildly ambitious August Tour Of Leicester. The upside being we could produce one big poster for all three gigs. An incredible August, amongst the best of my life now I think about it.

It could be the gory remake.

Idea for a tv drama called LEMONFALL that’s about life in a small American town. The hook is that a lemon is guaranteed to fall on someone’s head every scene. I feel that’s the promise from the writer to the audience.

Moved this bed and mattress at my parents’ house. It’s probably from the 1940s and belonged to my mum’s boss at Leicester uni library. It looks like something Bertie Wooster might collapse on or a young TS Eliot. Very well made, ‘Maples & Co’, who were around since 1841 but went bust in ‘97.

Subtle tones doth not a raffle ticket make, it seems.
Thanks for coming along!

Great fun running the raffle at EdgeLit with @rjbarker.bsky.social which was a convivial riot. The cosy chairs were excellent.
