Stewart Lee is brilliant and has a fabulous way with words. Back in 2022 he was condemning the support of 'Boris' Johnson by quoting a fabulous passage from King Lear. Those words could just as easily apply to the repugnant entity that is farage.

Clive Staples Lewis (CS Lewis) was born 127 years ago on 29 November 1898
He wrote one of my favourite series of books - The Chronicles of Narnia.
After reading 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' I had to check all the cupboards...

I love 'The Voyage of The Dawn Treader' too

Hello lovely,
I haven't looked at my emails today. I did get one of those phone calls though where the automated voice tells you your amazon or whatever account has been hacked🙄
Gorgeous Otters - have a lovely evening 🥰❤️❤️🦦🦦🦦❤️❤️🥰

Good morrow lovely Debs, I hope you're having an otterly wonderful day, despite the dismal weather.

Good morrow Debs - I started my greeting to you at about 10ish then went back to sleep. Things are really topsy-turvy today. I hope you're ok🥰❤️❤️🦦🦦❤️❤️🥰

Its appalling. It's such a short time.
And it's not like we haven't seen what's been going on in other countries. But not everyone keeps up with current affairs - so frustrating
You probably know this quote from Tony Benn

Happy Birthday - enjoy your celebrations!🍸

What an obliging girl😂
Clare's imaginary friend sat in the boot🤭
- mum had a Ford Escort Estate like the one below. We all travelled in the boot from time to time if there were too many for the back seat - you'd never do it now

We haven't actually flooded but it has come quite close, i.e. within about 10 meters. I took the photos below in January 25 & 24
We were on an island as the main road & road into the close had flooded. I'm in a ground floor flat😬

I used to like the stuff but went off it 10 + years ago.
Haven't touched it or Heinz for years
Out of curiosity, I looked at the price of beans. I buy small tins of supermarkets own 25p
This is Heinz! Beans used to be a cheap meal & as for the cheesy ones FML!

What do you do to your kettles?
My flat is all electric, so I wouldn't have your option - as smart as it is.
I've had my Kenwood kettle for about 5 years now. Not that quiet, but it's quick.
It's about £30 now but was closer to £20 when I bought it.

Washing machine up date 2 - Small load of washing done with no visible leaks. I am so relieved.
Thank you so much to those who saw my message & reassured me. I know it's a small mundane thing, but I do find these 'little' things quite overwhelming and your support does mean a lot

Ah, now you see my father was a miser & used the fact that we were girls to not invest in a computer - they're for boys see. So while the boys next door had a commodore something-or-other, I got scrabble -I'm dyslexic🙄
I didn't get my hands on games till University as a mature student

Happy Birthday Katherine - Enjoy your celebrations & have a wonderful day!🌼🍸🌼😊

It's vile. So cheap. It just shows that money does not buy taste
And when compared to the Obama days in the Whitehouse. Even with that thumping great chandelier in the photo, the contrast couldn't be greater...

I don't doubt it. You really are having a lousy run. I hope you've had your share for a long time to come.

"Lest we Forget"
It's Remembrance Sunday today. Too many have lost their lives or had life changing injuries for wars that often seem futile.
I'm pleased the weather is good for the Veterans March - they have such dignity.

Good afternoon Debs
I did get up this morning. Sorted out my grocery delivery - then went back to sleep.
I hope you're having a lovely day whatever you are doing🥰❤️❤️🦦🦦❤️❤️🥰

Afternoon Debs, I've had a very slow & quiet start to my day - forgot to charge my hearing aids again.

I hope you're ok and staying dry - I looked at the weather map when I read your response as I've had bright sunshine most of the morning. 🥰❤️🦦🦦❤️🥰

Thank you M' Lady Greensleeves
I know lives are complex libraries, I'm pleased that not too many land up with the added section of BPD - that's a big, only partly catalogued bookcase of its own.
I think back to childhood, we all wanted to be adults - why🤷‍♀️
