this has been my attitude for a long time. it's not saying, "you can't criticize it like any other art," it's just saying, "it has a right to exist." I don't think we (as a society) will ever agree on where to draw that line definitively, but I think this, at least, should be obvious.

i'm before all else an artist, i can't really abide slander towards furry fetish artists. even wretched ones are touched by god - you could go your whole career in any other field & never see the like. holding that up for laughter and mockery online is like giving a beef wellington to a street dog
