Oklahoma, it's past time to wake up.

“We are watching one of the wildest things a nation-state has ever done,” journalist Garrett Graff wrote: “A superpower is [dying by] suicide because the [Republican] Congress is too cowardly to stand up to the Mad King. This is one of the wildest moments in all of geopolitics ever.”

I thought I was a pretty good at basketball. Now that Trump has a Nobel Peace "prize", I'm going to start lobbying the NBA to get a ring from one of the Thunder team......

Oklahoma's never going to come into the 20th Century as long as the 19th Century Republicans are the Majority.

Here's the conundrum, both for January 6th, and the murder of Renee Nicole Good. Do you believe what your eyes saw, or what Trump and his sycophants tells you what your eyes saw.

Trump hates to be the object of humor. He understands that humor can be a more powerful antidote to tyranny than any other form of criticism.

I'm sure he'd hate it if you shared this cartoon. [Cartoon by Jon Adams/The New Yorker]

Saturday mornings are perfect for backing the hottest project on Kickstarter*

*if you ignore projects that are not compilations of Tom Tomorrow cartoons
The new compilation has five years worth of cartoons because over the past five years no publisher I approached was interested. Admittedly I mostly gave up, I had some other stuff I was dealing with. Still, I do love waking up in the morning and seeing all the support this thing is getting.
Our Long National Nightmare by Tom Tomorrow
Relive the trauma of the last five years through the cartoons of Herblock Award winner and Pulitzer nominee Tom Tomorrow.

If You Don't Understand Oklahoma, You Can't Understand America is apt and accurate essay from Caleb Gayle, author of "Black Moses".

If you don’t understand Oklahoma, you can’t understand America
A Black man like me is not supposed to love Oklahoma. But in studying my home state’s history of violence, theft and wild ambitions, I learned to reckon with its legacy

We, in Oklahoma, are quick and proud to tout our "Oklahoma Standard" of goodness.

But when it gets down to the nut-cuttin', the Oklahoma Standard is actually blood-red, small, and narrow minded.
Not every R who voted for the cruelest bill in modern times will be on the ballot in 2026 but you can vote against everyone who is. Every damn one.
