Jerry Garcia was certainly influence by Coltrane and other horn players, and played with Ornette Coleman. During "Space" he regularly used his Midi synthesizer so his guitar sounded like a horn.

Thank you. The idea of no migration seems laughable to anyone who has ever looked at a map of Europe and thought about the most common of human behaviors (looking for natural resources).
