I’ve spent most of the last decade doing candidate recruitment so I feel qualified to say this:

If you do not like the person running, find someone to run against them or run yourself. Especially this far out from the election & filing deadlines, this is an option available to you if you so chose!

this is so cool. making it easier for normies to understand how local government works isn’t going to fix everything but it would go a long way.
“Spokane: A Civic Guide for Neighbors” is a zine, short for magazine, that showcases how the City of Spokane operates and how you can get involved! You can grab your free copy at Lilac City Live! tomorrow, Thursday, April 17, at 7 p.m. at Central Library. my.spokanecity.org/news/release...

Canceling your newspaper subscription(s) only supports a fascist agenda... elimination of the free press. Support the journalists and reporters and just skip the opinion section (cuz ya know it's just opinion). Otherwise, democracy does die in darkness.

In their cowering to racist power, U.S. companies and institutions are trying to silence antiracist voices. They are going to learn (history) today. Whenever this happened in the past, antiracist voices became louder. Became more enraged and engaged. Became more resolute. This is happening now.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Two years ago today we were awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for protecting The US Capitol on January 6th 2021. Almost 4 years later the efforts to downplay, whitewash and minimize what happened appear to be succeeding. I won't ever stop standing up to them.
