Well, I've got all the things - which means I've got the THING (and the subsidiary things as well, if Wikipedia is to be trusted). I just need to slot it all in there now. I think I can see a logical place to start but however I try and put them in, the spaces don't line up. Very frustrating :)

Yeah. It's a tricky balance - I do think it's reasonable to expect newer solvers to learn *some* commonly used things, like you'd learn the ropes in many new hobbies. I don't think banning stuff is the way, just trying to be creative and find more new stuff that's usable. Even if not in the BRB !

As long as a clue is fairly done, solvers should be able to have a decent stab at the solution, whether it's very up-to-date or terribly old.
Many solvers (myself included) appreciate the chance to learn a new word or phrase this way - though of course some hate it!.
