A perfect corporate mannequin. He has no spine, and only says what he thinks his supporters want to hear

The boxes of those magnum Ego ice creams which my wife and I like recently changed to have THREE ice creams in the box instead of 4… but they subtly kept everything else the same. I bought one, came home, and then WTF

A phone call is like someone just randomly opens your door, walks into your house, and starts talking at you out of the blue, demanding your attention. If someone did that for real it’d be considered super rude

I’m on team no-phone-calls. A text conversation is so much lower stress; if you ask me a question, I can take the time to think about it, form a response and maybe edit before sending. And if I’m in the middle of something I can finish it first.

The sobering lesson I have learnt, from the first Trump Presidency, Brexit, my own country New Zealand electing some right-wing racists and bigots, and now Trump again, is that a significant proportion of human beings are just fucking terrible people. They support their own.

That’s a *really* good painting. I’m impressed, keep up the good work!

One problem with that unfortunately: Brexit and Trump happened years before it 😕 Rupert Murdoch I think holds more blame

I like supermarket self-checkouts, but they come with an increased risk of shoplifting to the business. They can accept that if they like.
But the TSA is meant to be for catching bad guys. The whole thing is literally pointless if they can self-check and get round the screening.

I like to search for these kinds of things after watching something like a Marvel movie. I know there’s a larger backstory in comic or other form, that I haven’t read, but I appreciate the commentary from others who have 🤷

I was also really frustrated by this. We have a cost-of-living crisis, high inflation, climate change, and brutally high house/rent prices. So many people complaining about how bad these are, yet they vote for political parties who promise to explicitly make them all worse.

A surefire way to get Apple, Disney and all those other big corporates, who were the lifeblood of advertising revenue, back on the platform. Genius move 🤦‍♂️

Yeah I’m still at a loss as to why greens only got 11% after our back-to-back cyclones and floods and Ruapehu Alpine Lifts going bust due to years of crap snow.
And super sad about the Aussie No vote. They bought that bullshit “helping indigenous people is racist” line that ACT is also fond of 😭

Yeah, he should take the side of the people that need help the most. Trying to “balance” between rich people’s desire to buy another holiday home, and poor people’s need to eat, is crap

Looking at what’s happening now, most of the “world is fucked” things seem to actually trace back to Ronald Reagan and the policies enacted during his presidency… Bush just wasn’t so good on camera
