I'm a multifunctional organism.
Sometimes a multidisfunctional organism.

U.K. Based.
The more I read the process they followed more my stomach turned.

Insane and callous.

It seems weird to have made the promise to not do ads in the first place to be honest.

I figured it would be the most clear way to make money if you are competing with google. If you paywall these services then people just go elsewhere.

Probably more a byproduct of Social media.

People like to go online and pick fights.

The people picking fights get more attention and seems attention is a valuable currency online they do it more.

There isn't much room to post nuanced takes either so often discussions get sent to the extremes

Strongest modern labour party endorsement to date

I watched the entire thing and it is pretty much the same all the way through.

I think a lot of people are finding elements of it relatable but I'd hardly put it in the category of 'recommend it to everyone'.

It does seem that there are both right and wrong ways to use the technology.

You do see a lot of people complain about it being used wrong not acknowledge there are good ways to utilise it.

Unlike the other hype bubble technologies the LLM developments have proven uses and a lot of potential.

He projects so much that I think this signals that when Trump invades Canada he is going to ban Hockey.

Remember what you are fighting for Canada, he'll take your hockey if he gets you.

This is going to keep happening for the foreseeable future and I think this also means crying when you look at hardware prices for the foreseeable future too.

Just because some people take something effectively communally owned and then build it into a privately owned thing doesn't make that not the case

How tax is spent is a different issue, gov corruption/mismanagement is bad but not inherit to any technology.

Communism advocates that all productive property should be seized to be communal.
Personal property should be protected but the means are moved out of individual to shared ownership.
It obviously targets the oligarchs most because they own almost all the productive property.
My point seems accurate.
January 27, 2026 at 3:51 PM
Well GenAI is owned by many different sources including open source, which is effectively communal ownership.

Not saying there is no problems with the structure they are using but I disagree that it is inherit to the technology. The societal structure causes the issues the tech just highlights it
January 27, 2026 at 3:46 PM
Umm.
Communism is sort of very famously pro "seize the means of production"

Capitalism is generally "your intellectual ideas are property, ergo capital, that you own and can stop others using"

Then this works as permission.

The bad apples start "Having no choice" more frequently.

The good apples don't do this but their presence ultimately bolsters the capacity of the entire system. Maybe some will resign over it but then that just leaves only the bad apples.
January 26, 2026 at 11:42 AM
They will because the orders they get won't ever be like "go break the law".

They'll be told to do things under different pretenses than the actual goal
"Go save our city from the awful terrorists"

Then when someone does something stupid they'll be protected
"He had no choice, they are terrorists"

It's copium. Trump is basically Americas new king, he actually gained more immunity this time than he had last time.

The only legal vector to hold him accountable that exists now is an impeachment and conviction off that impeachment. (rather than just let him off, like the last 2)

I was born in the late 1900s, the previous millenium yes.

Ah yes, much before the invention of the smartphone. Oh right, you're just calling them phones now, I see.

I guess they just open up Star Trek for inspiration.

These are clearly the comms badges with an Apple instead of Starfleet logo.

“This court has determined that the only lawful sentence that permits entry of judgment of conviction without encroachment on the highest office of the land is a sentence of unconditional discharge”

He isn't punished under the law because, and only because - The American people voted for it.

Sometimes its an emotion, sometimes its simply an accurate assessment.

Protests on European streets are not going to help American citizens.

ICE will still be knocking on Minnesotan doors tonight and no burning effigies in Swiss Hills are going to stop it.
January 23, 2026 at 12:50 AM
and don't get me wrong. I know there are plenty in America not represented under the current system.

But there is value in reminding people these are not normal and actually escalating problems.

Europeans can't organise very much of anything to help, they can mainly just shout into the void.
