I also made some color corrections to my Royal Swordsman icons. I really spent a stupid amount of time on these... but I have a better setup now. I should be able to knock my future icons out quicker.

Here they are with some vanilla icons. I'm happy with how well I matched the style!

New Alva equipment render icons.
For comparison, here are the crunchy ones from Remastest above. DS2's icons are lower res to begin with, and I think we just didn't bother upscaling when resizing them lol

Alva armor revamp.
Improved vertex normals, tangents, culling, weighting, and most obviously, spec maps. I took what I could from Guardian's costume in Nightreign and it came out great!
I'll be doing the icon renders next.

Royal Swordsman
Quite happy with how the renders came out!
For my mod, I will be touching up some of the old DS2 sets Nordgaren and I ported to Remastest way back when, as well as of course porting even more.
I also plan to rerender all of the icons in DS1's style for consistency.

Gave it a new coat of paint! The pose resembles Dissidia's a lot more, and it stands out from the dodge. This took a lot of finetuning but I'm finally happy with it.

Improved the impact of Sephiroth's sprint! I feel way better about it now. I may also adjust the pose to be more like his Dissidia one later, it looks cooler.
That would also help distinguish itself from the dodges, which use a very similar pose. This clip shows the forward dodge as well!

Preview of the stamina cost in comparison to regular sprinting. Not only does it drain your stamina faster, the initial jump also has a decent cost, inspired by the super sprint in Nightreign.

Nevermind! I made the fall speed consistent by breaking up the animations even more and adding even MORE states. Also fixed a visual bug while I was at it. Works perfect now!

Update! It now has proper falling and landing states for when you use it from high ground. (You fall much slower than on flat ground, but I can't do anything about the gravity lol)
Also, another weapon imported by Bird - the Kikuichimonji.

Hell's Gate WIP
I have to figure out a way to make the root motion scale with enemy distance. As far as I know, that's not a thing in DS1, so I'll probably have to resort to some cursed method like invisible bullets to track distance... lmao
