Honestly Nvidia, what is the point in the 50 series? So far the 5080 is 8% better on average at best, and sure it has lower power consumption but, who cares? Could've just called the 5090 a 4090 Ti or some shit and left it at that instead of wasting R&D money on a nothing-burger of a generation.

In another direction from this morning - I spent some time updating my VM that runs Klipper and all of the Klipper components. Somewhere along that line Python was updated to 3.12.3 which broke something in klipper and wouldn't allow it to start. As a result I had to completely reinstall Klipper.

Last ditch effort, sent a couple emails to cs2team and tagged gaben as well (lol) hoping someone sees it and directs it to the right person. Included some metrics I've gathered and a bunch of information. Although unlikely, if I get a response I will share it here.

I've started playing @counter-strike.net in the morning since I started school this semester. During the week, the game feels fine for the most part. Occasional hiccups, but whatever. Weekends though, the game feels awful. Monitoring my networking stats via the buildinfo stats in the bottom left -

I lost a lot of old clips when my external drive died late last year, right as I was getting my NAS setup and was about to back it up too. :( One day I'll try and get it recovered.

Toughest part with taking a step back from all these social media platforms is just overcoming that feeling of being unplugged.
Trying to feel comfortable again without that drip feed.
The mental bandwidth it's freed up for me, it's gonna be necessary for these next few years.
