i find double inverted pretty sensible, normal axis you 'point' in the direction, double inverted you 'rotate' from behind the camera... regular inverted you point left and right, and rotate up and down? makes no sense

if you accept the premise that Lakitu is actually a camera man and it's not a ghost camera you control it becomes extremely manageable, you need a really interesting mindset for it. (also its funny that people say it aged badly because of the camera when that is a very old critique)
