Have patience with your libraries right now. Now our major book distributor is seemingly about to go out of business and the backups can’t keep up. Getting books ahead of on-sale dates has become a thing of the past (hopefully not forever). 😢 oh Baker and Taylor!! It was a good run!

An Idaho teacher has refused a request by the Meridian school district to remove two classroom posters: one that reads, “Everyone is welcome here.” The other says that everyone in the classroom is "welcome, important, accepted, respected, encouraged, valued" and "equal."

Meanwhile, in New Mexico:
HB 27, the Librarian Protection Act, has passed a cmte vote. The bill mandates public libraries receiving state funding must adopt policy aligning w/ ALA's library bill of rights, prohibiting the removal of books based on partisan or doctrinal disapproval.
