Visited the Bizen Osafune Sword Museum and got to see the National Treasure "Tachi Mumei Ichimonji Yamatorige" up close. This sword was crafted by Fukuoka-Ichimonji group in the Kamakura period (12th-14th century). It is famous for being a favorite of the legendary warlords Uesugi Kenshin.

Stopped by the Michi-no-Eki Nachi during drive and spotted a #Mazda #Roadster NA! As soon as I parked next to it, we started talking right away, despite meeting for the first time, and ended up having a long conversation. I have to thank my Roadster for being the catalyst of amazing encounter.

The Western-style architecture of this school building, rare for its time, was praised as the "White Palace of Education" and the "Best Elementary School in the East." Today, it is still in use as an active facility of Toyosato Town and is open for public tours.

The Old School Building of Toyosato Elementary School (豊郷小学校旧校舎; Toyosato, Shiga, Japan) Registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. This building was donated by Tetsujiro Furukawa and designed by William Merrell Vories.
