In recent years, it has been used as the Aichi Motor Headquarters building in the TBS drama "Leaders" and has served as the model for Sakuragaoka High School in the manga/anime "K-On!"

The Western-style architecture of this school building, rare for its time, was praised as the "White Palace of Education" and the "Best Elementary School in the East." Today, it is still in use as an active facility of Toyosato Town and is open for public tours.
