How is it that it seems the same people that once told us "you can't trust anything on the internet" and "stupid kids and their technology" are suddenly the "I'm on a new supplement regimen that ChatGPT suggested" people?

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers at Stanford University have developed a dual-antibody treatment that remains effective against ALL SARS-CoV-2 variants by targeting a less-mutable part of the virus. This breakthrough could lead to longer-lasting therapies that OUTPACE viral evolution. 🧪🧵⬇️

There is nothing illegal about naming inexperienced people currently accessing sensitive government data at the behest of Elon Musk.

They are:
Akash Bobba
Edward Coristine
Luke Farritor
Gautier Cole Killian
Gavin Kliger
Ethan Shaotran

This is a major security breach.

If you know any trans folk, I suggest you keep in touch now more than ever and ask them how they're doing throughout all of these rapid political changes.

Now isnt the time to bury your head in the sand and stay uninformed. Now's the time to start thinking about how you will protect your loved ones

are people actually leaving Meta and Birdsite with everything going on, or are we still doing the "this is the only way I can keep in touch with my granny" method of justifying staying?

It costs around 12K a year….
What a horrible waste of money,

Instead of doing that, we are giving $1000 to a different charity each month this year.
Starting with Doctors Without Borders!

I'm interested to know: when you get a new piece of tech (phone, tablet, camera, smart TV, game console, etc.) do you spend much time going through the menu and settings looking for hidden features or things that may be on by default you want to shut off? Or do you run stock?

THIS IS HUGE! Researchers have discovered a vulnerability in drug-resistant bacteria: zinc- OR a lack thereof. Depriving bacteria of certain nutrients can cause important physiological changes, rendering them VULNERABLE to antibiotics, INCLUDING those they once resisted! Let’s talk about that! 🧪🧵⬇️

Cancelled my two Twitch subscriptions today. Going to look for a more direct way to support the creators I love without lining the pockets of Amazon. Should have done so ages ago.

And so, after 5 attempts to install Kali Linux on my spare laptop, it turns out I had to specify the boot path in order for the Dell Latitude to see Kali as an option. Glad I finally had the time to poke around, I thought the installer was the issue, but nope, it was just an extra step.

Looking forward to taking my Network+ exam. A bit nervous, though, as I trained to the N10-008 and the exam updated to N10-009 which seems to include cloud computing so I have some more learning to do before test day.

With rapidly evolving artificial intelligence and LLMs, I'm not sure if it's more impressive that computing has gotten so complex, or sobering and horrifying that humans are so simple.

Maybe we're not as complicated as we like to think we are.

You ever find yourself absentmindedly grabbing your phone and then immediately forgetting why you picked it up only to realize that you just had a moment of silence and your mind was desperately craving a distraction from having to be alone with itself?

Yeah, me neither....
