I. Love. This. Place.

I have family just outside Rochester and I try to visit The Strong anytime I see them. Still haven't been in the archives, but I want to!

Excerpted from the new State of the Nation's Housing Report by @harvard-jchs.bsky.social, this article has an interactive graphic for home prices to income ratio around the country. You can hover to find your local chart, too.

Sobering. This is today's crisis.

Keep this in mind when people claim cars mean business — closing Central #Madrid to cars over holidays resulted in a 9.5% boost in retail spending on its main shopping street: STUDY.

There was also a 71% drop in air pollution.

I am ashamed to live in a world where civilian humanitarians are illegally intercepted in international waters. Their mission is to bring aid to a people undergoing genocide.

In solidarity with people across the globe demanding an end to this horror, I will be on strike on Friday.
moreperfectunion.bsky.social
Italy's largest union, with over 5.5 million workers, has called a general strike for Friday in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla.

And smaller Italian unions have said they will join CGIL's general strike.
yelmelnobrainer.bsky.social
Never let anyone tell you that protests or strikes won't have an effect. Collective action is power, especially with clear demands.
yelmelnobrainer.bsky.social
Within hours of a nationwide general strike, the Italian government has sent a ship to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla from illegal attacks by Israel.

Earlier this week, MIT pulled out of a grant given by Israel's military after student protests.

Le Haine (dir Matthieu Kassowitz, 1995)

In an increasingly xenophobic world (see recent UN address by US president 🙄), this film about the friction between gaps in social services, hatred of immigrants by the ruling class, and the tragedy of misunderstandings is ever more timely.

Also, guns suck.

Happy to help!

If you've got someone into thin tip writing utensils, I love the Uni Jetstream Edge pens. Also a recent find and replacing the Muji pens I've used for years (though Muji pens are still excellent)

Good tip!

... especially for something so small 😁

I found this, a new metal body mechanical from Uniball that rotates the lead with each stroke so the tip stays sharp!

It feels so good in the hand, too. Hope I don't lose this one anytime soon!

Over ten years ago, I got a metal mechanical pencil. Along with a couple pens and a woodless graphite, that pencil was one of my main tools for sketching. Used heavily over dozens of sketchbooks.

I lost it recently and went looking for a replacement...

The biggest eye-roll of disgust at this reasoning
The Roxbury plan's ostensible "inclusion of EV charging infrastructure" meant that it "no longer aligns with DOT priorities," and, as such, wouldn't receive funding, according to the letter.

Valid concern!

I'll admit I don't play many GMT titles, but the ones I have played have done what they say on the tin. In a world where player counts are often marketing fluff, I generally trust GMT player counts.

I'll miss y'all!

...and will have fun
yelmelnobrainer.bsky.social
Completely understandable.

Honestly, another theme and setting would probably have me ignore it completely.

As long as you don't mind having a satellite Unplugged in Italy. I won't be in Philly this year, unfortunately.

Haven't been this pumped for a game in a looong time.

What is Cross Bronx Expressway? So glad you asked.
