This story is troubling, and I appreciate @niemanlab.org bringing it to folks’ attention, though I would be curious to hear more about the role that LLMs are playing in this discussion.

To me, the big trend on content sites over the last six months has been more visible “are you human” gating.
The Wayback Machine’s snapshots of news outlets’ homepages have plummeted in recent months — Nieman Lab reporters @andrewdeck.bsky.social and @hanaatameez.bsky.social found they declined by 87% starting in May of this year. They decided to find out why. buff.ly/rhtRGcr
The Wayback Machine’s snapshots of news homepages plummet after a “breakdown” in archiving projects
Between May and October 2025, homepage snapshots fell by 87% across 100 news publications.

Levanté @coolify.io en mi VPS y desplegué un sitio construido con @astro.build y funciona perfecto. Increíble lo que se pueda hacer con el auto hospedaje y @docker.com.

Fun times. It's going to be a busy week 🙂

For those wondering, this is exactly the reason I wanted to soft-launch the branding: to give me time to deliver the feedback to the creators. Beyond that, I'm incredibly pleased by the reaction to my own team's work.

If you can get past the terrible logo, Audacity 4 looks pretty great
Over 25 years Audacity has gone from simple audio editor, to a UX nightmare. If you can get past the terrible logo, version 4 looks like it might fix that.

Las tecnologías no son neutras, menos aún sus creadores. Personas como Rauch o DHH me parecen peligrosas para el mismo ecosistema de creación libre.

There are probably many similar tools, but coding a bash script that lets me easily take screenshots on macOS was a good way to improve my terminal skills and scripting knowledge.

So, this is my first CLI tool.

Some people asked, so I open-sourced lucie→tokyo's code.

It's basically a fancy script that spits out HTML and processes it with @vite.dev
