ICE in Chicago detained two people (that we know of) for filming them today, a cyclist and a neighborhood rapid responder. This in addition to tear gassing another neighborhood and brandishing weapons at rapid response—both things that have also already been going on for weeks.

First, in February or March, the Department of 21Homeland Security launched an operation to identify 22students and faculty to target under the policy. 23Government officials will testify that around that time 24senior leaders of DHS's Homeland Security investigations 25began meeting to discuss revoking the visas and green 8 1cards of student protestors. This group called itself 2the "Tiger Team." HSI's Office of Intelligence was 3instructed to prepare reports on student protestors. 4And senior officials in HSI provided the office with the 5names of new protestors on a rolling basis. 6The vast majority of these names came from Canary 7Mission, an organization that maintains public black 8lists of students and faculty they deem to be anti- 9American, anti-Israel, or antisemitic. 10Some of the names came from Bayta, a group that 11antidefamation league has labeled as extremist because 12it openly harasses Muslims. Government officials will 13testify that the Office of Intelligence has prepared 14reports on at least 100 and potentially hundreds of 15students as part of this operation. These students 16include Mr. Khalil, as well as Mohsen Mahdawi, Rumeysa 17Ozturk, Yuncseo Chung, and Badar Khan Suri.

Jason Delgado (Florida Capitol reporter for Spectrum News 13) on X: "Quick look at what inside a detainment tent looks like here at Alligator Alcatraz." What is shown in the picture is a long tent structure, about 50 feet wide. There is a corridor running down the middle. On each side are three rows of bunk beds. The bunk beds are sectioned off into cells which are constructed out of chain link fence, with chain link on the ceiling as well, making each cell a literal cage. It looks to me like each cell contains 9 bunk beds, so has capacity for 18 people each.

Glendale, CA - The City of Glendale has made the decision to formally terminate its agreement with U.S. Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to house federal immigration detainees at the Glendale Police Department facility. This is a local decision and was not made lightly. Since 2007, the City has maintained a highly regulated, locally controlled facility that is maintained to the highest standards, extending basic dignities to those temporarily held-ensuring access to clean accommodations, on-call medical care, family visitation, and legal counsel. By offering local access, detainees were given due-process proximity that is too often lacking in more remote or privately-operated detention centers. Nevertheless, despite the transparency and safeguards the City has upheld, the City recognizes that public perception of the ICE contract—no matter how limited or carefully managed, no matter the good—has become divisive. And while opinions on this issue may vary—the decision to terminate this contract is not politically driven. It is rooted in what this City stands for—public safety, local accountability, and trust. Glendale is consistently ranked as one of the safest cities in the nation. That is no accident. The Glendale Police Department is trusted and supported by the residents and businesses, and in turn, our officers work every day to protect and serve with professionalism and care. At this time, it is in our best interest to not allow that trust to be undermined. To that end, we emphasize: • The Glendale Police Department does not enforce immigration law. That is not their role, nor will it ever be. • We remain in full compliance with California Senate Bill 54 (SB 54), which prohibits local law enforcement from using resources for immigration enforcement. • The Glendale Police Department has not engaged in immigration enforcement, nor will it do so moving forward.

The University of Michigan spent $800,000 hiring private investigators--one of whom FAKED A DISABILITY--to surveil anti-genocide protesting students. I'm speechless.

Students say they have frequently identified undercover investigators and confronted them. In two bizarre interactions captured by one student on video, a man who had been trailing the student faked disabilities, and noisily – and falsely – accused a student of attempting to rob him. The undercover investigators appear to work for Detroit-based City Shield, a private security group, and some of their evidence was used by Michigan prosecutors to charge and jail students, according to a Guardian review of police records, university spending records and video collected in legal discovery. Most charges were later dropped. Public spending records from the U-M board of regents, the school’s governing body, show the university paid at least $800,000 between June 2023 and September 2024 to City Shield’s parent company, Ameri-Shield.
