The Conscience boat sailed yesterday on Truth and Reconciliation Day. Mskwaasin Agnew, a harm reduction health worker from Turtle Island, shared how there are healthcare workers onboard intending on staying in Gaza not if, but when they make it to Gaza. Beautiful souls onboard.

Be unshakable. Be relentless. Be courageous. I know it’s tiring, it’s exhausting, it’s gruelling. But for those of us not in Palestine, we are not the people subjected to Zionist colonial violence and erasure. We have work to do.

People often ask me, how do you keep going? We must keep going. When we are not the ones living with bombs falling from the sky, when we have food on our tables, and clean water to drink, and money to spend. We have to put our feelings aside for a moment. We have work to do.

I woke up this morning to see a video of a healthcare worker colleague in Gaza be shot in the head while working in the hospital. Shot in the head by the Israeli military. While working in the hospital. Israel continues to target healthcare workers with impunity. Fuck this world.
