steam is already a monopoly. gamers are locked in, no one would want to give up their $1,000+ steam library, even if something better came along. ppl give valve a break for being one of the "good" corporations, but in reality we're just one weird management shakeup away from PC gaming becoming Hell

As exciting as the valve-cube is, I get a little worried that steam is starting to enter its own monopoly over the games industry.
I think best possible outcome is that other gaming companies are gonna realize why people love steam so much compared to them and will start making moves towards that.

Secondly, D&D at home isn't a competitive sport, there's no money riding on rankings - if your players are not having fun and are getting frustrated you should absolutely help them out and/let them skip the puzzle etc.
