In my indie game about combining magic, i really looooooove this tiny detail that creating spell areas will also combine the spell effects when the two areas overlap

a bubble that makes ICE and a magic bubble that makes FIRE combine to create WATER in the middle

This can also be combined with other magical runes to reprograme the brain and behaviours of the npc
