I also got the California Nebula last night.

It’s been on my wish list for months but it’s hiding behind trees from my balcony vantage point and finally just became visible.

What in the fresh hell is this? Since when did Best Buy start allowing third parties to sell on their website? Of course my package is delayed: it was sold to me on BestBuy.com by some back-alley drop-shipping hell hole in New Jersey.

Sun came out for a bit from behind of the clouds. The first image is right out of the Seestar S30, just cropped. The second is upscaled and sharpened a bit.

Labcorp just sent me a bill for $3.68 and the part of me that incessantly desires to engage in social experiments wants to see how far it goes if I don't pay it.

This Liquid Glass UI treatment for a text field is absolutely criminal. Steve Jobs really screwed us all by dying.

Good. I don’t know if this will help make trails safer, but I do think roadies in spandex chasing irrelevant glory on strava need to slow down on bike/ped trails. So do commuters on powerful e-bikes.
Interesting: D.C. has placed two speed-sensing cameras along the Metropolitan Bike Trail that show a smiley face if you’re riding under 15 mph or a frown if you’re above. City officials say it’s to encourage safer riding, but they are also collecting speed data from cyclists.

I was under the impression that Trump incited an insurrection by spending months lying to his followers that the election was stolen and then asking them to show up at the Capitol on January 6th. But now I'm learning that I only thought that bc of an edit in a 2024 BBC documentary. Oops!

Not sure when or how Citizen Kane became the de facto “greatest film of all time” because it’s not true in any universe where it coexists with Seven Samurai.

Just rewatched Back to the Future III after 30+ years. In the many years since, I've held on to the notion that the third installment of the trilogy didn't at all hold a candle to the first two. But boy was I wrong.

My age is now a big enough number that my doctor wants a stool sample as part of my yearly physical. The instructions for the at-home kit are simple enough, but I really wish they’d use common parlance instead of medical jargon.
