Office of Conciliation. If it is still unresolved, it must be raised to an Archbishop, or a Metropolitan in traditional terms.

You haven’t at all so worry not, and honestly I’m merely a layman, not a cleric.

From what I recall, if he had already been reprimanded in public by others of his Catholic peers (and he already has, if SocMed counts), a formal petition must be filed by another Catholic to the

I mean…maybe not a worldwide telecast for the sake of charitable dignity, but it will still be public since it is a tribunal.

Honestly though, the individual in question, Vance, had the lamest excuse to become Catholic: because it is the “oldest”. Nothing preventing him from just turning Orthodox.

TIL dogs can fake cough.🤭

If we’re going to excommunicate someone, it needs to be done right. The eristic or instigator must be brought in front of a Catholic tribunal headed by a bishop or metropolitan. If he still refuses to recant at that point, he is to be excommunicated.

Disgusting! (the person who did this, not this adorable baby)

I hope she will be happy always for the rest of her days.🥹

Lop-eared baby! 😍

I think I remember this, but it’s been so long…🤔 I remember…orphans, some form of child abuse but not sexual…I think, and really bad amnesia and a horrible childhood “friend”. I’ll go consult Wikipedia now.

Relatable.

I’ll go get the overpriced fish eggs and insanely expensive French fizzy grape juice.

Pretty, but also edible and delicious 😋

(Reminder: dandelions growing by the streets are not edible due to carbon and other toxin build up from close proximity to pollutants.)

I don’t think he’s ever had his turn with it yet, going by that stare. 🐈
January 26, 2026 at 2:49 PM
I don’t know what more to say, except the Church is not a nightclub with a bouncer at the door to keep undesirables out; the wheat must grow with thorns and weeds until the end. We only know that faith without good works is dead, and many have already fallen to hell despite the profession of faith.
January 26, 2026 at 2:48 PM
We do not, rather, we put value in the knowledge and spiritual fulfilment they provide, and, in the case of treasures and arts displayed in museums, the fiscal benefits to maintain upkeep of the Church as well as charitable endeavours.
January 26, 2026 at 6:24 AM
Such is stated from our catechism. Though we do not necessarily agree with most modern…innovative doctrines, if anyone can call it that, but for the sake of all, Catholics, imperfect as we are, value the virtue of charity highest.
January 26, 2026 at 6:20 AM
It would be wise to reserve such judgements for now, but I see your meanings.

Rome has not been perfect, though if you’re concerned of hardline traditionalists, the modern descendants of the Pharisees and our Orthodox kin have us outmatched.

What traditions we do have, we protect but also evolve.
January 26, 2026 at 6:20 AM
If you hadn’t said it was paint and canvas I would’ve confused it for some fancy-schmancy avant-Garde foam dish from those weird, small-serving, “trendy” restaurants.🤔
January 26, 2026 at 4:48 AM
And honestly his reason for his “conversion” is shallow. It’s because we are the “oldest” (read: original and only) Church. That’s it. At that point if he is excommunicated he can just turn tail and become Orthodox.
January 26, 2026 at 4:46 AM
That means someone literally has to grab him by the arm and drag him to a cathedral or basilica for judgement…although I doubt it’ll happen under pain of a shower of bullets.
January 26, 2026 at 4:43 AM
There is…one way. Normally excommunication happens on spiritual matters and defiance of doctrine, which he hasn’t done.

But! If he’s presented to a Catholic tribunal before a bishop (or higher) and lay witnesses, and he is chastised but refuses to recant, even in temporal conflicts, he’d be excom.

When has it ever been your chair? 🤭
January 26, 2026 at 2:57 AM
honestly, it simply is not fiscally sustainable. Would it be better if we sell them all at once, crashing the market value and in time are hoarded away by private collectors instead of generating knowledge and financial publicly to be used for other charitable endeavours?
January 26, 2026 at 2:09 AM
It’s hard to be charitable to such…externally imposed judgements of superiority such as yours, so to speak, but for the honour of the Church, fine.

We will not sell our treasures nor robes when they are our traditions, which, by the way, we share to the public by way of museums, trusteeships, and
