Heading to #Ingleborough or #Whernside next week? We're planning to transport material with helicopters onto the two peaks, starting 29/9/25 weather dependent.

When old meets new. Two restoration interventions, 10 years apart. The timber dam has been overgrown by #Sphagnum and #Cottongrass. We then added a coir log to improve water retention in some part of the gully. #PeatlandRestoration #SphagnumMonday #GreatNorthBog

Lovely little clip of a sphagnum carpet and some sundews in the #GreatNorthBog. The sphagnum is a bit crispy in patches but it will recover.
