Stifling, brilliant stuff at Lord's. Jadeja, hats off, sir. A terrific effort.

How refreshing. Some properly gritty test match cricket.
Digging in can be beautiful.

Rupert Lowe telling MPs not to meddle in football or introduce a regulator is quite something. Remind me what he did to a club

Excellent couple of strikes by James and Stanway.
Reward for a terrific first half performance.

Quite the 24 hours for alleged abusers.

Gregg Wallace and Christian Horner.

FM24

Take just 4 points from the first 8 games, then win 9-2 on the road to trigger a run of 10 points from the next four. 🤷🏼‍♂️

1) Writing
2) Doing a youth academy FM career
3) Playing International Cricket Captain
4) Creating PowerPoint slideshows and Excel spreadsheets on 2 and 3.

Saw a Porsche up in flames on the hard shoulder of the M1 this evening. Literally just burning 🔥
The driver was just forlornly filming the inferno, probably from a slightly unsafe distance.

Couldn't agree more.
MCO, women's teams being a mere asset to bail out mismanagement in the men's game.
Football utterly stinks.
Aston Villa selling their women’s team. Michelle Kang taking over as president of Lyon’s men’s team after buying their women’s team. Someone smarter than me is going to write a piece on how women’s football is subsidising cash strapped men’s football before long…

The world's eating itself.
But I made a fucking lovely red cabbage salad for lunch.
No question, it tasted much better.

Just did some research on Wes Streeting and now I'm all clammy from raised blood pressure and the heat.

Something about MCO feels really insidious.

I know the arse fell out of the game years ago, but before long a handful of investment groups and nation states are going to own the entire world.

Just cba with it.
Brentford owner Matthew Benham is in talks w/ Kingsman creator Matthew Vaughn & ex-Autoglass boss Gary Lubner about a minority stake in the club. Benham would use the cash to boost the transfer budget, aid commercial growth & add another club to the group.

No need to go near the Red Lion, thankfully.
They didn’t get this Rose & Crown. (Anyone familiar with the Battle of Britain movie will know what I’m on about.)

It's 30 years today that Kristen Pfaff, bassist with Hole, died of a heroin overdose.

She was a good friend of Kurt Cobain, who had taken his own life a few weeks before, and, of course, played with Kurt's wife Courtney Love.

Have a listen to Live Through This. It's a great record.

Once again, the women's game leads the way in inclusion 👏
This is super cool from the NWSL team Angel City FC, which is based in LA. They distributed these tshirts at last night’s game.

Credit to the FA here.

Not often they get things like this correct.

Just a shame a single individual took it upon himself to ruin a perfectly harmless, peaceful, and enjoyable day.

Truly magnificent work by South Africa.

Don't mind it. Don't mind it at all.

And with a palindromic hero too. Markram, take a bow, sir.

It always makes me a little sad when there's two such wildly different opinions on the same event.

The hardship of dating, I guess. One person's connection is another's version of 'meh'.
