@kalaelizabeth.bsky.social has some great videos about what we know so far if you want to catch up, and there's also plenty on the game's website.

Civilisations have risen and fallen, wars fought, infrastructure built and seemingly abandoned. Yeah, there's a lot to it.

It's basically all humans but with a twist. The first humans arrived in the part of the galaxy and found habitable worlds so they sent a signal. Your humans followed that signal but 20000+ years passed by the time the arrived and the original lot have evolved into many different beings.

Also it's involves interstellar travel but with no FTL, so the story is going to revolve around time dilation, tens or hundreds of years passing on your home planet when only a short time passes for you, stuff like that. I think it will be a lot more interesting than a simple ME clone.

Have you ever read any Peter F Hamilton? He's a great sci-fi writer especially in terms of world-building and he's helped create the setting for Exodus and written two books set in the universe.

Everything I've seen about Exodus looks great. There's so much lore out already including the first of two books by Peter F Hamilton, who's a tremendous world-builder. I think it could be amazing.

They got rid of Blatter then Infantini just wears the corruption as a badge of honour. Ridiculous.

A. I think the only Dragon Age game I didn't play on the day of release was DAO, which I played in the month of release.

The other thing is that while I don't visualise stuff, I have some sort of innate description of how stuff is laid out in my head. It's not visual, but I can reproduce, say, a map of the layout of a building. I liken it to the code in a 3D game as opposed to the rendered graphics.

I'm also aphantasic. I have an inner monologue in that I can think words in my head, and that's also how I read, but I don't have that thing where people have some inner voice commenting on everything they do. I also get earworms all the time. They generally get triggered by a word or phrase...

I love both Horizon games and it's hard to overstate the lack of interest I have in this. When's the next story-driven single-player game coming out?

It's a stretch since none of the VAs speak with a Cornish accent, but that was my reasoning.
November 8, 2025 at 5:11 AM
With Dalish elves when I had to give them an English VA, I got this idea that because they mostly had Welsh and Irish accents, and those are celtic countries, I would choose Cornish names, since Cornwall is the celtic part of England (although some Cornish would dispute that they are English.)

Phew!

I'm grateful that, as a straight guy,I have never had to worry about coming out. The closest I've come to feeling what it must be like to be queer was being the straight guy in the Sera thread at BSN back in the day (so not close at all!) What I try to do is accept people as they are.

Sepsis? Uff. I don't like the guy but even when you don't die of that, you don't tend to recover fully...

Yeah. He'd be 35 so definitely still very possible for him to win. (And far more feasible than MTB.)

As a 50 year-old it makes little difference to me. V is a youngster. 😉

A variation of that has been a favourite of mine since the 90s. I remember an American friend telling me that she lived near Cincinnati, "just five hours' drive away." I was like, "In five hours I could have driven from York to the south coast of England and be boarding a ferry to France!"

Is that Morrigan? I think that's Morrigan.

I played it! Last time I checked I was still getting the Serault Glass and the extra war table missions.

Good news for Del Toro next year.
