Baseball. Taiwan's historic victory in the WBSC Premier12 Championship has allowed further affirmation for the country on the international stage.
This gesture by Team Taiwan's captain Chen Chieh-hsien best encapsulates this breakthrough. You can't see any logo or team name? Try harder.

A fascinating interview (trans into Engl) with a Chinese internet censor. Refers to themself as a "cog in the machine" and expresses guilt over their role and frustration with the system that creates and perpetuates censorship, but also a general sense of the futility of any action of dissent.

Just saw the news that Stefan Landsberger passed away on Sept. 26. RIP to a scholar who generously shared his passion for Chinese propaganda with the world. His website, Chineseposters.net, is the deepest open-access source of Chinese propaganda posters available.

Over 1.700 Chinese propaganda posters are shown on this website, with a lot of information about their history, background and design.

Finished scanning all eight volumes of the 訂正女子修身教科書 today, a text I knew nothing about until finding a few copies back in March (bsky.app/profile/thia...), and am now fascinated by. Early Minguo textbooks for girls filled with charming illustrations, some regressive values, and patriotism! 1/
