@danadelany.bsky.social Dana! I just finished "Valley of the Dolls" by Jacqueline Susann and it made me think of you. You’ve most likely read it, but if you haven’t - I really think you’d love it.

@danadelany.bsky.social You might not be that into Delon anymore, but I wanted to share this interview with you anyway (turn the subs on).
I thought you’d enjoy it, and also because it’s really special to me - it was filmed on the day I got lucky enough to meet AD 🖤

We say goodbye to international film icon, Brigitte Bardot.

One of the greatest screen sirens of the 20th century, she mesmerized audiences in films such as CONTEMPT ('63) and later became a fierce animal rights activist.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

It's very tedious to read only negative comments about Brigitte Bardot this morning. She wasn't crafting policy or leading a movement... so while I dislike her opinions, I prefer to remember the icon who changed everything.

@danadelany.bsky.social Just yesterday I was rewatching this video of Bardot and Delon. Today I wake up to the sad news that BB is gone. 2025 has been a tough year, ending with the loss of another icon.
PS. One day the press will celebrate talent, not political views. Not today.

The sublime Sylvia Sidney. I devoured every word. Only wish they let her talk more about Dorothy Arzner. If you haven’t see Sidney and “Freddie” March in Merrily We Go to Hell, get on it!

@danadelany.bsky.social This instantly made me think of you. I can easily imagine similar footage of little Dana.
I’ve always been curious about when Santa stopped feeling real for you (I’m guessing your brother was involved).

Merry Christmas again, Dana! 🎄

TCM does it better than anyone. Sadly, every year there are more of my friends. 🖤
As the year comes to a close, TCM remembers the actors, filmmakers and creatives we lost this year.
