The CFPB that Musk so happily destroyed in the name of reducing fraud and abuse actually made money by returning $20B to consumers who were ripped off by crypto scams, big banks, etc. Musk wanting to turn X into a bank surely has nothing to do with that.

Trump isn’t speaking out because he knows that Elon’s salute appealed to a significant portion of the right wing base. The extremism on the right has gone from a dog whistle to a bullhorn since Trump took over the party.

Trump isn’t speaking out because he knows that Elon’s salute appealed to a significant portion of the right wing base. The extremism on the right has gone from a dog whistle to a bullhorn since Trump took over the party.
Most dems are too weak to mount any meaningful resistance. They’d rather kiss the ring. Same with some of the “progressive” pundits.
Trump is more popular than he has ever been. The media is softer on him than it’s ever been.
The chief task of the Dems, and of any self-styled #resistance, should be to puncture that bubble of popularity that he currently has in this honeymoon. To drag him - down.
