also tried to get up before 9 but I also went to bed at 5:30 so that didn't go so well

in the end I figure I'm going to hear about anything 'big' elsewhere, or it'll be talked enough that some posts will slip through the mutes anyway so it's really not that big a deal that I'm not hearing about some subjects here

I've also become much more okay with blanket muting lots of very generic news related keywords... wish there was an option to rate limit them vs ban tho. I don't mind getting 2-3 tweets on an annoying topic but when news happens it Happens and your feed gets overwhelmed.

bsky's app doesn't have that, and it seems to actively make it hard to actually find where you left off and catch up, even with the massively lower quantity.

but I sorta find "open the app/tab once every 30/60min, read the top ~'page' of tweets visible, and don't scroll down" much more viable today

I used to get up every morning and scroll back on my twitter app to the time i went to sleep and 'read' the night's tweets verbatim. and I made sure to use a twitter app that had a 'last read' marker too, for that reason. every time I opened the app I'd start from there and read til 'now'

(a bit disappointed to not see the 14GB/s that the specs claim but I guess considering the the old PCIE 4 drive also gets exactly half as much I guess it makes sense)

overall feels more like a slightly lame small town mystery story that happens to guest star Blanc than an actual main Knives Out entry

w/o Blanc having as much fun as usual and protag being a bore, it's really just the mystery pulling you along most of the time; didn't feel nearly as fun of a watch as GO did.

even the 'villains' aren't that entertaining to watch being stupid, and have weird flat redemption bits

Once Blanc gets involved it gets going more, but he feels much more restrained than prev ones? who dunnit is fun but many twists are really stretched if you think about them outside of how they're revealed.

politics is also even more eye-roll on the nose than usual
