w/o Blanc having as much fun as usual and protag being a bore, it's really just the mystery pulling you along most of the time; didn't feel nearly as fun of a watch as GO did.
even the 'villains' aren't that entertaining to watch being stupid, and have weird flat redemption bits

Once Blanc gets involved it gets going more, but he feels much more restrained than prev ones? who dunnit is fun but many twists are really stretched if you think about them outside of how they're revealed.
