this is why JD Vance angers me so much. His moral compass and ideology generally are abhorrent, not only in isolation, but as a repudiation of what it should mean to be an Ohioan - we have a legacy to uphold here man. Not always perfect by any means, but a lot to be proud of nonetheless.

To expand on 4) it sure seems that uniting diverse groups into shared labor unions is an incredible way to get people to recognize that wildly 'diverse' peoples share common cause / humanity, doing their best to provide for their families. Yet a promised 'better' w/nativism lurks around every corner
