I keep seeing that I'm blocked by many, and honestly, I'm not gonna assume or really question why - but it is funny to me because I absolutely do my best to refrain from controversial posts.

I personally love the flexibility & choice Linux provides - as many of my hobbies honestly show. I'm far more into varieties and things that provide lots of contrast & differging opinion.

On Bluesky - with how little I post about controversial things, I'm lucky enough to have only had one shitty interaction with some twat who thought being shitty to someone new for a meme is better than being any sort of helpful.

I've heard horror stories - I'm just lucky and have seemingly dodged.

Honestly, feels that way LOL but yea - I'm lucky enough to have some really cool people more often than not in my replies. Made some cool friends here, compared more so to any other platform.

Honestly: largely due to getting older and properly medicated, I think that has a lot to do with it.

I love Linux - I love the discussions & debates. With anything in life, though, I could do without the sarcastic shitheads and mocking dumbfucks who come at others for difference.

I understand having opinions. I'll NEVER understand treating others like shit over said opinions.

COSMIC looks AWESOME to me! I absolutely love the first release on Pop_OS! at the moment, so I'm considering giving it a shot at some point.

Time will tell - but it is a serious contender for my desktop, with how it's progressing.

I worry for KDE about it - though, seeing GNOME do this and receive genuine positive props over such a decision leaves me hopeful, but we'll see with time how that hope plays out, haha!

KDE is my favorite DE, by far, but I'm always open to moving - at ANY time.

There are definitely issues that warrant intense discussion - but the name calling and shit-slinging at others over basic functions? Just seems childish to me, even if obviously so.

Just venting a bit about it as I see it more & more - I intentionally avoid these posts.

It's hard to explain in basics - but I mean, like, people calling others "dumb" for having some basic opinion, or attacking groups who like certain distros, apps, whathaveyou, over other options.

It gets increasingly annoying. It's why I almost promote positive interactions on my account, tbh.

Definitely true! My family were ALL bundled up, haha, even my dog! She got the most blankets, of course, followed by Mom, then Dad, & my brother, sister & I made due with what we had.

Was tough, but we managed and pulled through! Undoubtedly, comfy under the blankets, though. :>

Definitely fair and honestly, I'm mostly the same. Maybe when I go to bed, I'll pop a movie on - but my family watches stuff a LOT. It's the holidays, too, so they're very nostalgic for childhood films, etc.

It's mainly for them. I just don't mind having it for when I need it, either, haha!
