Here's another VoD themed portrait. I've been enjoying painting in this slightly more painterly style for a while now. I started to feel that focusing too much on details was starting to tire me out. Maybe it was a bit of perfectionism on my part.

I did a #portrait study of an old gentleman from a photo I found online. My goal was not to use a color picker or trace the outline of the image. The resemblance is not quite there, but that was not my ultimate goal here. I hope to achieve some confidence in my brushwork as I do more of these.
