I have luckily managed to wrangle both kids into daytime naps the past two days but then also today when I got up at 7 to go catch up on some admin in a local coffee shop, I looked in the bathroom mirror there and was actually shocked at how wrecked I look

and you cant take them out in the daytime as normal because you know they’re sick even if they don’t! So you’re just all shut in together too!

I fully expect them to wake up tomorrow feeling well enough to demand that we go out and do things and then for everything to repeat itself come bedtime and beyond

meanwhile, the sick kid childcare split is not a split, but just a me

my eldest has slowly gone from big cough to big fever to being mostly fine in the daytime if just hugely emotional; the youngest has slowly acquired his brother’s cough and now blocked nose culminating in a bedtime vom
