I might just commission a HUD, no lie. I’ve never done a ZScript HUD nor do I have the graphical abilities to make one that is satisfactory. It’s gotta accomplish quite a few things! I have a backup plan if I still run out of shit to do on my end.🧵End

It’s going to be so weird when I’m done with these and the Ults. Just T5 abilities, then … then we wait on dev for internal game systems: capture weight, Orders, a real HUD. A couple other things I’ve commissioned.🧵

You’re right, it’s not as much of a risk for anyone else. I know how to address that, though, make his second form start out untargetable. Mind you, in this testing environment they just stand still rather than wander off since they don’t have a master, but in actual game terms it would work great.

Boxing in is just a thing that can happen to anybody from my testing, sadly. We’ll call it a hazard of being badly outnumbered. In game terms, it WOULD be insane to send a hero in unsupported. Just a few guys with him and that doesn’t happen. But almost 45 enemies on 1? Well, I mean …

Black Halo can be used repeatedly, but Spurn is an ability. It hits a LOT more units at once and since it’s electric you can see it stunning the Stalkers. Still, you can see the difficulty of being mobbed in melee: he gets caught up for a bit in phase 2! Anyway, fun!🧵End

Note that D’Sparil is a duelist hero: His normal attack can’t always hit multiple targets (it doesn’t at all in his second phase), so he’s inefficient against hordes. BUT with a Talent loadout he overcomes his limitations and ekes out a victory.🧵

This is important because Crusaders are a VITAL shooting unit for Strife, who is all about ranged superiority. Their price is close to that of the Hell Noble, but against armor they were weaker at range, which is all backwards. Fixed now!🧵End

Snotfolus and the Flembom aren’t weak (though the Flembom is on the cheaper side), but CQ can only field 1 of each, meaning they have fewer Heroes than any other faction. Though Heroes are overwhelmingly powerful, CQ will be able to field such numbers that it’s a wash.🧵End

As I said, might be the best in the game. Does nothing for Snotfolus personally (the heroes already spore so much it’d be unfair to include them), but that’s what Chex Quest is about: Hail to the hordes!🧵
