The slow collapse of civilization vs little ol' Zé gets to draw whatever he likes for a living. Pretty good trade-off

A career. I'd be laying bricks for a living otherwise.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

If you see this, post a goth (or punk) girl
Death reflected in a puddle standing in a graveyard.

I don't exactly know why I associate this kind of usernames with deep mental illness but here we go

It's rutting season. This older drawing on a train ticket is from c.2013 (eek), but I'm still fond of it. I'd visited Wollaton Hall and deer park in Nottingham (wollatonhall.org.uk), hence the ticket to Beeston.

Red deer.
Pencil and sepia powder on train ticket primed with gesso.
Drawing on a train ticket of the head, neck, and shoulders of a rutting red deer stag, facing right. The words 'London' and 'Beeston' are still visible at the lower left corner.

Not wanting to air out my personal business, I haven't mentioned it, but my position @ work was eliminated a little while ago.

I have extensive experience in e-comm, customer relations, & brand design/management, and am looking for full time work. Comics-adjacent would be ideal, but I'm open. DM me

Appreciate it! Not on top of my head no, at least not of the "very newslettery" variety for lack of a better word. If if you're simply after the regular " hey I just started crowdfunding X project variety, I find that most artists these days have one ( or should).

Here’s a familiar Hudsoni gosherd, drawn for us by the one and only Alexandr Utkin (“Gamayun Tales”). He is here to remind you that even now after our campaign is over, you can still back it with your late pledges and secure most of our rewards for yourself! 🙏🏻😌

A good way could be Patreon but I'd have to up my patron count by like 950 people for that to really work

I have this gargantuan personal book project staring at me in the face and I'm wondering : outside of grants/ crowdfunding what are some ideas for funding it spread by spread? Some sort of sponsor-a-page scheme of sorts... Any examples out there?

Thanks! It's a risograh print

Maybe the other little smudge is one but still...

You're right, I was going to give it the benefit of a doubt but I think a person would naturally add more than one post (if that's what it's meant to be) for perspective's sake

Self respecting ones at least

Man such a weird choice...

It's the style too, this kind of cloudy smooth digital art look is completely dead and hack looking now

I can't tell for sure if this cover is generated, but it's interesting to note that this gold-ish patina now instantly makes me think it is, but more importantly it's a look that has become automatically ugly to me.
Ugly book cover

Wouldn't surprise me at all
