More Wilson:
"We need to mobilise a nation of employers sufficient that they see we are fighting for them enough that they want to fight for what we are espousing."

Totally the wrong way around, surely.

You don't win them over by imposing ideas upon them; you fight for what they want.

Tim Wilson: If the future of Australia's economy can be fuelled by nuclear power, we should be looking for equally innovative solutions in industrial relations that are about how we build a focus on simplification, empowerment and alignment to promote harmony.

Industrial relations should be Coalition's core business but it's risky
The Liberals argue Labor's industrial relations concessions to the unions are a "handbrake on productivity" but this area has been tricky for the Coalition since John Howard's disastrous overreach.

As I have repeatedly pointed out, DV rates in Australia, including femicide, are actually quite low.
(Of course, as always, zero would be better...but we're NOT in some kind of 'crisis')

The uncomfortable truth is that we can't predict domestic violence homicide
Victims must always be believed. The uncomfortable truth, however, is that statistically, it is almost impossible to predict lethal family violence because it is so rare.

Barnaby Joyce believes that in the Senate, the government would “have to come to me on each piece of legislation and say ‘what are your views?‘
They're not having to do that with independents in the Senate atm and it's quite likely that a future Senate would be even easier for Labor.

'Hanson says being censured and banned from the Senate for seven days doesn't really worry her.

She says she'll be standing for re-election in Queensland.'

Well, that's a disappointment for Barnaby.

No one in the media seems to be connecting Labor's determination to have a vote on the Environment legislation before Christmas with setting up a double dissolution trigger.

If the Bill is rejected by the Senate this week, Labor could have a DD trigger by early next year.

Dear media

There is no obligation whatsoever on you to report about anything the LNP is doing.

They're not distracting you from bigger issues.

You are failing to do the work you're supposed to be doing.

Seriously, if I'd spent months (at least) planning to take over the leadership of my party, I'd spend my first press conference outlining my vision for the future.
Unless, of course, I didn't have one.

Sorry, but the premise of this article is flawed.
The Liberals have had moderate leaders - at both State and Federal level - in the past.
It has never resulted in them moving to the centre.
